Very good result for us tonite!!waterford came and played a hoof the ball up non stop all night...no real rhythem to the game though...we deserved it in the end...waterfords goal came from a slip by Ian Ryan...who should have put the ball into row z but decided to take a touch...Paul Crowley....excellent performance yet again...player of the season..goal of the season contender for his first...on the volley from edge of box!! COME ON THE LILLYWHITES!!!

That's a pity, isn't it. ;)
Five points clear. Could prove a big night in the destination of the title :)

ditto my reply to a previous poster on a different thread. We played ye off the park in the 2nd half with some lovely football. I had numerous Dundalk fans praising the way we played and in particular a certain Dave Warren.

Thought we where the better of the teams and the 2-1 result reflected the game. Waterfords goal came from from Ian Ryan tripping over the ball on the edge of his own box and giving the striker a one on one. Dundalk's first from Crowley was un-stopable and the second was well worked.
Thought we where the better of the teams ...
So did Cronin apparently...

Big weekend for a few clubs:
Cork - Bray - Cork must win to keep on the tails of Bohs and take some of the limelight off the off field problems.
Drogs - Rovers - mid table battle, Drogs need to restore some pride for final third of the league.
Galway - Bohs - Big for both clubs. Galway need to keep up the pressure of the other 3 relegation sides while Bohs win would see them 10 points clear tonight
UCD - Derry - I can't believe I want Derry to win but it would be a massive blow to the other relegation contenders if UCD were to win this one.
Harps - Cobh - A "6 pointer", massive game for both sides, a draw is no good to either side.
Pats - Sligo - A must win for Pats to keep tabs on Bohs, anything less coupled with a Bohs win would leave it hard to see the title ending up anywhere other than Dayler.
In the first Division, Dundalks win last night might just be what was missing in previous seasons. Usually that was the kind of game they fell short on.
Shels must win against Longford but its hard to see anyone other than Dundalk winning the title at the minute.

Please tell me it was all just a drunken haze and we actually didn't fook it up and throw away a 2 goal lead
