Teacher in Tallaght primary school says.....
'Now that Shamrock Rovers are coming to live in Tallaght, I hope that everyone in the class is a Shamrock Rovers fan Hands up all who are Shamrock Rovers supporters'.
Everyone in the class puts up their hands except Mary Dykes.
'Mary Dykes' says teacher 'why are you not a Shamrock Rovers supporter?'.
'Please Miss, my father is from Sligo and he supports Sligo Rovers and my mother is from Sligo and she supports Sligo Rovers so I'm a Sligo Rovers supporter and I'm proud of it.'
'Nonsense' teacher says ' it's ridiculous that you're a Sligo Rovers supporter because of your parents. You don't have to be what they are. If your mother was a prostitute and your father was a drug dealer what would you be ?'
PLEASE MISS, I'D BE A SHAMROCK ROVERS SUPPORTER'.
