Oh all the money that e'er I had, I spent it in good company
And all the harm that e'er I've done, alas, it was to none but me
And all I've done for want of wit to memory now I can't recall
So fill to me the parting glass, good night and joy be with you all

Oh all the comrades that e'er I've had, they are sorry for my going away
And all the sweethearts that e'er I've had, they would wish me one more day to stay
But since it falls unto my lot that I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and I'll softly call good night and joy be with you all

Having heard the song "here's to you Ronnie Drew" a few times I was not a fan of it but this morning Today FM played it and the shivers went up and down my spine. RIP Mr Drew.

Thought maybe RTE should have shown the funeral service on tv?

I wish they would show the late late dubliners special. I remember it from when I was a kid. brillant stuff. sad to lose such an authentic Irish singing voice. there is some great stuff even on his last couple of solo albums.
