I've just experienced a technical malfunction, or I suppose an erectile dysfunction in the sense that I couldn't get a video up. I used the right code but it didn't work. Similarly I tried embedding an image with and that didn't work either.

Maybe there's some wrong setting on my browser -- Firefox?

Any ideas what the problem might be?

Thanks. :)

This (http://foot.ie/misc.php?do=bbcode#yt) thread should sort out all your BBC problems.

Thanks, that sorted my video problems alright.

BUT! Still can't work the images!

For example, http://www.geogr.uni-goettingen.de/kus/pics/frzpol/seib70-Bora-Bora-view-from-airplane.jpg won't embed itself in my post, just comes up as a link as you can see. Glaaaarrrrrghhh!

Image code, in the very bottom left of the page, is off for me at the moment. I don't think it's possible for a member to change it.

Aha, good detective work Dman. A little extra snooping and we discover that you can only embed images in certain forums. For the record and to avoid future frustration, the following are the places you can embed images:

Junior League;
Football Feeds;
Other Sports;
Other Stuff, except not in Current Affairs.

You can (once you're able!) embed videos anywhere. Not sure why there's a difference, but at least my frustrations, if perhaps not my images, have been put to bed. :D

I used to be able to copy and paste web addresses in my posts, but as of late when i do this the address is visible but when you click on the text nothing happens. Has this got something to do with 'HTML Code is off' in the posting rules section. Im not an expert when it comes to IT so any advice or help to solve this prblem would be greatly appreciated.

Works for me. It'll only appear linked after you post the message though.

adam, just wondering did you set it like this or is it some sort of mistake?

I set it like that when I first enabled images to see if it would be abused. I've enabled it for all forums now. It'll be disabled per-forum in cases of abuse.

What's the best way of putting up images you've created yourself. I would save it as an attachment, but ive to delete previous ones, etc....

Upload them to http://www.flickr.com/ or something similar online and then just copy the image location like you normally would.

Yeah, I don't know what's up with flickr. I took off the privacy settings, but still can't get the image to load here now. Maybe someone knows of a better online photo hosting site?
