Some interesting comments on Carlisle's websites on Roddy and his revolution. Bit damning on the league here when you read stuff like this....

"Speaking to a group of pro's ,after the Rochdale match it was interesting to hear the opinions of some of the players regarding the existing management team.

Roddy Collins tends to ignore most of the players and talk only to the players that he has brought in.
Their coaching qualification are in question as Bugsy tries to impress with difficult and exercises that do not make sence.

Some of the decisions that they have made to date have been questioned by senior players.eg

The team for the first two games of the season was picked by Billy Barr that is why we had Lee Andrews in the team on Billy's recomendations, there was no place for Hore or Anthony in the squad, when they had played in every pre-season game.

As far as the new signings are concern Haddow and Willis rung the club asking for a trial and they were told just ti turn up.

Some of the well traveled players who have contacts with players in Ireland claim that he talks a very convincing game, but with very little tactical sence.

If I hear some more I will let you know"

Not really. Everybody here knew Roddy was only a mouthpiece with Pete Mahon looking after the tactics/training

Yeah Roddy is the Motivator man!

Given the players at his disposal last year Shoddy made a meal of the league!

Mahon has years of coaching experience with junior, senior & irish underage teams.
