The northern edition of the sun today had a feature on the new premiership (hate that word, why did you go for it ???) and ifa championshp (div 1) they are saying there are no linesmen in the second tier ???

This isn't a new thing.. There has never been linesmen at intermediate level in NI.

But this is the second tier in the IL, not exactly equivalent standard to our first div, but this its still a disgrace if its true. Decent clubs like Portadown having to put up with this ??

There are getting them in now according to this:

The IFA Championship, local football's second tier, is also set to resume, and will have assistant referees from 1 September....

Referees also wanted assistants appointed for IFA Championship fixtures after Armagh City and Portadown refused to appoint assistants to help the referee in last week's opening matches.
