Reports this morning say fraudsters are believed to have hacked into the database of one the country's leading retailers to steal the credit card details of its customers.

Do think they should tell us who it is. Why the big secret.

Is it connected to the TK MAX hack in the states.

They where caught when they made test purchases of 1 dollar that got flagged in the banks as no one uses a credit card for 1 dollar purchases.

Probably also TK Maxx.

AFAIk credit card companies always take the hit on these issues. If they started making customers pay for fraud would lead to reduction in credit card usage which would cost them a lot more money.
