Reading the star this morning it looks like Regi has to retire from the game altogether after he failed a medical for drogheda, where they found a heart problem similar to O'Donnell the former Motherwell and celtic player. Sad news as Regi is a nice guy with a very young family. All the best Regi now in whatever your future holds.

Sorry to hear of the news on Regi. A good player I hope he can find his feet in football training or something he is by all accounts a decent bloke

Devastated for him a sound guy with a beautiful partner and two lovely boys who loved Galway and had settled in Athenry. I hope its not as bad as portrayed here but if it is we a club will have to arrange something for him.

Well said gufct. It would be great to think that the club would give him a role like what pats did when one of their players had a similar problem but i somehow doubt they will bother.
