alright, none, no chance. Its dying on its feet. Who are we kidding. Lets shut down the league and the messageboard and, if nothing else, save us all having to read the shiite that you feel necessary to spout.

What are you on about? I have not just gone and made this up you know !
Of course i would rather a fully professional league but this news means it will never happen in my eyes. In it current format the league is doomed

Exactly, he said it might be an option but never said it was definite.

Between the lines! No club can sustain a real ft set up without a sugar daddy, in my opinion!

He deffo said it unless i picked it up wrong but i am pretty sure i did not(would not be a first i suppose :)) Also said about the crowd with the avg being under 2k.

If the Harps lad heard the same as me then i am certain i am right. Terrible news not only for Derry but for the league as a whole.

Did you read that link? If not read it, that will give a clearer picture. Call it one step back to take 2 steps forward if you like

I think you might find what he said was "PAYING" fans at every game, so not including season ticket holders, of which we have quiet a few, (somewhere around 1600), total gates are way above that,

also the chairmans actually statement was talking about how we can financially guarantee the long term future of FULL-TIME football in Derry so we will be ready for the challenge of any AIL if it ever comes to fruition.

he did mention if we didnt get more bums on seats or more support from businesses in the city, we may need cut backs in the size of our squad to pay for staff, an example of which would be a commercial manager.

Far from the bull**** your spouting, it was a very positive progressive statement and shows the intent of our new board to get a more professional off field setup, which at present is basically volunteers.

Yes there is a small possibility we may have to go some sort of mix of part-time and full-time at some stage to fund the stadium and commercial side of the team, without getting into debt, but ALL to guarantee a full-time squad.

It was all very positive and progressive.

At no point did Pat McDaid say we were to go to part-time, nor did he give this impression...
