Murray for Kildare free kick but Kennedy got to it. Then Mons piled up to Kildare side and won a corner.

Brennan sent corner in and Whelo almost scored but over the crossbar

I see James hand is on the bench, he getting many games for you? Was such a disappointment last season. Thought he was going to be brilliant when we signed them but seems far too unfit for LOI football.

Scully almost scored but Kildare keeper heroics saved them from going 2 down. He injured himself though in the process and Kildare have no reserve keeper on the bench.

Kennedy forced to throw himself on the ball there to stop Kildare getting a goal.

Kildare had a few good chances but Mons are back on the attack now. Corner for Mons. Brennan took and Whelan nearly snuck one in but it came off the post and out. Haran fine shot but over the top.

Brennan puts Mons 2 up!!!!

That was another terrific win from Monaghan Utd. I feel a small bit guilty and responsible 'cos we took Darren Meenan on the eve of the transfer dead-line. And Robbie Collins appears to be going aswell.

Still....it's a good win and you have put some great wins together this season.

Well done, I have heard some negative comments about MUFC and it's good all aspects of the club are able to reply in such a public manner.

[QUOTE=Magicme;993468]Haran amazing so far.

How he get on, know the lad well from school. Has he signed a permanent deal or is he just on loan from Pats?

Meenan is a big loss to us but Collins just wasnt doing it for us this season which was such a pity as he was a big hero first time he played for us. What negative comments Harpo? The club are in the most positive place they have been in donkey's years! No debts, big developments happening, doing ok on the pitch, mostly happy campers all round!

Navan, he cant be on loan as he is an amateur but afaik St Pats have 1st option on him at end of season. He only got a run out for bout 20 mins but looked really exciting. Had 3 really close calls goal wise and worked really hard. First time this season I had butterflies in my tummy about our team!

Good result again for Mons - nice one! (far better than the last one i was at - Fingal in Morton a few weeks ago - that wasn't pretty)

He still has 'weight issues' ;) & some injuries too, but hopefully will have himself all sorted out for next season anyway. Plays most games, but gets subbed or starts on the bench. Not sure the manager knows what to do (with him) eg he subbed him after about 60 mins against Fingal, when he had just had Mon's 2 decent shots of that half & looked like he was really starting to make things happen. (I have only seen them a couple of times this season tho' so thats as much as I know).

Other results - that was a BIG win for Galway! - throws the relegation battle wide open again:ball:

.....

Not negative talk from Mons fans and nothing you havn't heard already in previous seasons.

Andy Haran, played against UCD in the League Cup this season, he had a reasonable game.
