I will make no comment on this only that 23% of the people that part in this are insane.

"very shortly" could mean anything up to 5 years, based on the 2nd option in the poll.

Thats the way I read it too.

Both Derry and Shels were within one game of reaching group stages of Europe.Derry getting the highest seeded team (PSG) when we were placed in a pot with two teams which were very beatable in that pot.

It will always depend on the draw and if it was favourable then it's quite possible.

If I read next years Uefa cup changes correctly, the team who wins the F.A.I. cup might only have to get through one tie to qualify into the expanded group stage (48 teams).

So maybe not as insane as you may think Rovers Maniac.

There will be 4 qualifying rounds next season, so the FAI cup winners will enter at the second round.

Yes, so one EL club will have to play in the 1st QR but will be drawn against a lower ranked club and the other two EL clubs will then be in the 2nd QR and would also have a decent chance of going through.

Feck it........read it yourselfs lol

Right, but next year we will still be ranked 35th - so here's the access list based on that :
http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/access2009.html
We get 2 teams seeded in Q1 and our Cup winners in Q2 probably unseeded (starting 39th of the 80 qualifying places - with teams bringing their own ranking points through this won't be enough for seeding).
In the CL our champions will not be seeded (unless it's Derry who bring their own extra coefficiant point).
