So then on the back our great recent run of having played six, scored zero and conceded many and lost 6 we go into our match with Limerick. We are still missing a lot through injury so I hold very little hope of getting anything against a very average Limerick side who are in decent form at the moment.

Any heading down? I have to say my last trip there earlier in the year was a highly enjoyable freezing defeat in one of the bleakest spots I have ever been.

Tell me about it, i was frozen too. Anyway please let me urinate into the hurricane & predict a 1-0 win for the Town.

We can't keep losing..we're not that bad..i think. Injuries are cutting deep in defence. Losing Davoren is a blow but maybe Oladele can step up. I'm going to go for a spirited 1-1 draw.

Yup the defence is the major weak point...

Yes, and more particularly a distinct lack of pace amongst those we have left. Limerick have apparently got a really quick striker in Sheehan..Feck it I'm bringing myself down here. Gough to score a piledriver, you heard it here first.

Edit: Davoren has departed. Reportedly he's signed for Galway United.

In what way was his contract broken does anyone know?

Well as far as I know he was owed some money, not wages as such but it was agreed between he and the club that we'd let him go if he wrote off the money. He didn't want to commit to playing for us anymore anyway so we might as well save some money. Going to do a Masters in NUIG apparently.

Im starting to feel that this team is held together with blu tack, old sellotape, paper clips & wet tissue paper.

Was that course the sole cause of his discontent or were there other factors Longfordian?

I genuinely have no idea. I think the major factor was that he was aware that Galway were interested in taking him back and he was going back to college so all in all it was handier. I don't know the lad at all but that's what I heard.

You took the words right out of my mouth LTFCfan..yay indeed! I hope those that made the effort to go are enjoying the long awaited win. I knew 'the boy Oladele' would come up trumps.

what a result! i spoke to aaron and vinny before the match and they said that they couldnt fault the lads heart and effort and it was really in the laps of the gods at this stage.. jay oldele goal was so different from he did against dundalk in that this time he made the same winding runs but this time he scored! steve brennans header was a peach.. imo douglas was the best of the whole lot he bent it in after a long kick from gall..

I was very encouraged and heartened by last nite.. damien rushe and luke hardy had brill games.. neil gallagher was excellent in his stopstoppin last nite..

Aaron and vinny played today against crusaders in the friendly today we lost 3-1. crusaders played in red us in yellow! crusaders brought a very vocal travelin support of twenty people and they were chantin throughout the game.. very impressed with crusaders fitness...
