possibly 1-1 and a further drag on this season - not much use to either but keeps the chance of staying up there - now yourself murph!

I think we will win this one,2-1. We have to attack harps from the off as they cant defend at all, also they are fairly tricky going forward and we know gethins will probably score !!!!

He has pace, our defence doesnt, hes a former player too obviously so as has been said-he WILL score. But i too think we will nick this one 2-1.I wouldnt be unhappy with a draw either,as long as that gap isnt more then 3 points by the end of Friday night ill be happy.

I think the terrifying combination of Rouse and our lacklustre, disorganised and generous defence will cost us.
Harps have beaten all the teams around them at home.A loss would be disastrous. We would be 6 points behind Harps with a game more played.

Fitzy out is a blessing.he's the worst captain/cb we've had in a long time.

I know that both of of defences are errrr want for a better word "joke" but I think it will be a shut out so I am going for 0-0 .

I hear harps have a few suspensions as a result of the Drogs game being postponed due to C.L. game, might suit us....
I reckon Fenn could do ok at CB (he did well enough against Derry, he's certainly not hard enough for centre mid...) I agree about Fitzer.... he's ok in the air but apart from that he's a total liability....
We need Foley and Murphy or Russell to do something in midfield... the service Glynn got in the 2nd half against Derry wasn't good enough... he needs quick ball played through the back 4 rather than ball lumped over the top.... I reckon we can win this game 2 -1

I'd imagine there will be goals anyway. Both defences are atrocious.

Great result tonight, now we are level on points with UCD and Harps, although worse off than UCD on goal difference.

Next week is now even more vital.

Sounds like Jesper Jorgensen is a good signing!

Did a quick online search.Looks like he got capped a few times at u19 and u20 for Danes as well as playing in their top league, so he might have a bit of pedigree about him. Wonder how we scouted him out?

Great result tonight, roll on UCD next Friday night, who knows we might beat Derry City on Monday night after their surprise defeat to Rovers tonight.

Well done lads, you deserved your result tonight. The only thing that was surprising is that you didn't win by much more.

You're certainly a better footballing side than either UCD or Cobh and you have a great chance now of staying up. If we can replace Higgsy as Manager, we might (JUST MIGHT) have a chance of staying up too. However, with him in charge, we're only going one way - DOWN.

Foster knows Molby from when they were at Liverpool together and according to City Tribune they keep in regular contact together and he tipped him off about this guy.
Roll on 2 huge games next week:).

Molby also managed Kidderminster (twice) so probably had something to do with Fozzy going there. Molby is from Kolding where Jorgensen played last season.

Jorgensen looked very handy. Was noticable how much harder the Galway lads were fighting compared to our bunch, who saved their passion for swapping insults with fans after the game was over.

It's not this lad is it?

http://www.efb.dk/nc/fodbold/truppen/spillervisning.html?tx_wkleague_pi1%5BplayerID%5D= 282

He's listed as a midfielder... I can't imagine any Esbjerg player would think a move to Galway United would be good for their career...

No he played for Kolding FC last season. Scored 11 goals in the Danish 1st Division.

Very good performance, but we did ride our luck at 1-0, Gethins missed while through on goal, although he was to the side as opposed to directly through. And there was also a header that was saved well by Rogers that dropped to one of there players from a few yards out but we smothered it well with 3 players quickly over, the way it fell 99 times out of 100 its a simple tap in, nice the luck is coming our way the last 3 games(bar Derry)

Danish lad looked decent, better in the second half and is decent in the air which we sorely missed since Flynn

Watching Wes having a stormer for his new club Vancouver on FOX 76 Jeff Clarke is also playing with them. Their top of their league and the commentators are praising Wes to the last.

They play in the USL is like the north American 2nd tier below the MLS but there is no promotion or relegation.
Here's a piece on Wes off the Whitecaps website http://www.whitecapsfc.com/archive/feature07230804.aspx

They are walking away with their division and are pushing for entry in the MLS.

God Luck to Wes, I'm happy for him.

Bck on topic. I thought this was a great display. I know some papers gave Jay MOTM, but for me Kenna was superb. He stayed composed and assured and didn't waste a ball, especialy in the third quarter when Harps had theri best period in the game. I think he gave confidence to Conneely and Lester who both also did well.

Rogers one handed save was crucial in the second half as was the denial of what seemed to me to be a definite Harps peno after about a half hour.

Davoren & Jorgensen were both excellent. For me Murphs & Russeler drifted in and out of the game a bit too much, but in fairness, they both clocked high milage and Murphs in particular got stronger and more effective as the final whistle neared. Russell gave away more free kicks than the rest of the team combined and was very leniently dealt with by the ref imho.

Who've I left out? Marco & Daisy did as well as the others, and O'Sheas first half performance was his best 45 minutes for us. He was excellent there and deserved his late goal, even if he over elaborated a bit at times.

I thought Foster did great on the line, constant encouragement, nothing negative & well timed and effective changes.

As sweet a journey home as I've had in long time. Survival in this division is still a huge ask, but very well done to the lads for a brilliant performance.

I'm sorry for Harps tbh. They were a shadow of the team that came to Terryland earlier this season & confidence has drained away.

In fairness I thought Harps were absolutely blessed to come away with a draw in Terryland earlier in the season. Not that Utd are a great team but they definitely should have won that night. Either way it'll be pretty much touch and go until the end of the season.

exactly, 'arps were muck in terryland so to say they are a shadow of what they were then says really that they really are as bad as some supporters are saying ! God help them, but thank God for that too, as it should ensure that they are relegated along with cobh. The race now IMO is between ourselves and the students making next friday one hell of an important 6 pointer!

I would'nt go jumping to any conclusions Harps saying they are out of it, after all they have the same amount of points as us and UCD!
