I have just spoken to the main organiser of the Dream Team game, and he assured me that Limerick FC will gain the princely sum of €0.00 for this game. The only ones to benefit are to be charities such as Hospitals, Rape Crisis, Alzheimers Society, CPI etc. Players turning up include Tony Ward, Eoin Hand, The Cranberries, peter Claw, Gallaimh, Moss Keane, Paudie O'Se, Ray D'Arcy Ciaran Carey and Billy Meehan from Fair City to name but a few.All good...should do really well for the charities involved, and thats realy fantastic:)
Here's where I get a little:confused: because someone either got it completely arse over tit when this was announced, or we were never gonna get anything out of it at all.Was it just an error, or did someone from the committee let slip that this would benefit us, thus getting our hopes up for some badly needed cash??
Either way, can someone please exolain this???

Is what most of us were told when we asked a certain committee member when this was first announced. If it doesnt happen then off with his head i say. I dunno though this is Limerick and i think moneys can go to otherwhile causes ;)

I don't think that anyone has a problem with more worthwhile charities benefitting from this event. The problem as far as Limerick FC stands is in the manner this committee member (I don't actually know who, but can guess) intimated that the club WOULD actually benefit. This led us to believe that a much needed cash injection was guaranteed by the end of September, but as with everything else that has come out of this arseholes fat gob, nothing will materialise!!

Hate to correct you Gael (LOL)but we were actually told the figure would be between 30,000 and 50,000 euro.

I wounder who pill pick up this minor-shortfall in revenue.....
