Damn it!!! I got to pay more attention, i went without a wide receiver too :(

Ah sure Burny, of all the week's to do it this is the one where that kind of error is the least damaging. I put 151 points on the board in the end so I don't think it would have made a difference.

Hmm looks like I'm going to be on the end of this week's low-scoring game of the week. I've a lead now but have played a lot more guys so unless my remaining dudes have monster days I'm going to slip to a 3-2 record.

Hey guys,

I'm not sure why but I can't login to my team anymore. Could someone see what the ID associated with my team (AC Alittlesilhouetto) is please.

Cheers,

It sounds like the same bug I had. I find that if you login and it fails and you surf around a few sites before coming back it works.

Your login ID doesn't appear to anyone but you, it just says your username Mark Canning.

If the tip above doesn't work go to the forgot ID option it should email it to you. Then go back to the main page and hit forgot password. Then use the id and the password sent to you to log in.

That sound's like the same thing affecting my brother as I mentioned a few weeks back. He was able to log in fine, now can't get in at all. It's costing him big time :D;)

Did you get in yet?

Another week without logging in here too...

Think I'll have to rebuild for next year at this stage

Sorry about the problems you guys are having logging in. I suffered the same problem myself but found that logging in, then surfing to another page or four (within the same tab), and then return to it. If this doesn't work I have no idea what to do.

I've been forgetting about it too, but tried harder this week. Went to makes some changes to my roster for todays games and when i tried to pick up a free agent it said this won't be processed until Wednesday. Does that mean all changes have to be made before a wednesday :\

The slide of the Brawlers continues. Unless Moss puts up silly numbers tonight I'm going to slip from 3-1 to 3-4 in the space of three weeks.

the bohs league is really good this year - lots of trades and interest - the chat function is great.

question: Jamal Lewis or Dominic Rhodes? purely fantasy terms...

Huge weekend in the league with 2 one point wins, both for the bottom teams in the west division. A loss for either would have dented playoff chances.

The Goofballs win of ACalittl... keeps the Goofballs in the wildcard slot with AC now 1 and a half games back in the east.

Bensons humping of Foot.ie gives Bensons the nominal first seed on points scored over Clifford, while the defeat means Foot.ie fail to capitalise on Angus' defeat to the Brawlers who ended a 3 game slide.

Losses for Burny and Inchicore means they have a long way back now in the central while Clifford's win over Haganator puts the latter in a similar fix.

Thrilled to be 5-3 - especially given i lost Romo a few weeks back, and given i was 2-6 at this stage last year and was done.

Bensons Boozers looking like the ones to beat.

Threw in Kitna in the end, any chance Sultana Moss won't play tonight? If he scores as much as a point I'm beat.

Booooo.

Edit: Eh, just went into site and see the Jags have picked up 6 points since this morning, yippee. Now need him to score less than 6 and I'm home and hosed.

I'm the Belfield Brawlers in case anyone's wondering.

Bloody hell, that sucks. I made bad calls this week with selections and have possible paid the price. But at least I was able to make them. Threw in this Hightower lad at Arizona, shocking last two weeks.

There are just three weeks left until the playoffs and here's the state of play as it stands.

In the East, anything other than a defeat next week will assure Bensons Boozers of the division title and a spot in the playoffs.

In the Central Foot.ie has a fairly similar challenge, one win and one draw from the last three games would secure the title. Meanwhile out west it's still very much up in the air. Gridiron Goofballs hold a half game lead over Cliffords Clippers, and a one game lead over Newbridge Wagons.

All of which makes the wildcard spot particularly interesting. The main contenders are whichever two teams miss out in the West and AC Alittlesihouetteofaman in the East.

All the remaining games are divisional. The only head-to-head between playoff contenders this week sees the Goofballs take on the Wagons.

Real ale Madrid
18/11/2008, 12:38 PM
Goofballs playing Cliffords clippers not the Wagons.

3 of us in the hunt in the West, Clippers hold the tie breaker over myself so next weeks game is huge!

Question for me do i play Cassel or Romo after what happened in the last series of games.

how does the post season work ??? I actually have a chance of reaching it this year:)

Aberdonian Stu
19/11/2008, 1:06 PM
Simple playoff format. The divisional winner with the best overall record plays the wild card team in one semi and the two other divisional winners play each other in the other semi final. Both these games are the week after the regular fantasy season ends which is week 15 of the NFL season.

The winners of those face off in the final the next week, week 16 of the NFL season.

The post season is the one part of the game that I think is a bit weak. A lot of the time you end up with teams resting players as they are assured of the playoffs. Happened me last year but I suppose it's hard to know how you can change it unless you shorten the season.

I'd start Cassel this weekend over Romo. Pats and Cassel have improved and they will be out for revenge over the Dolphins after what happened the last time they played.

Lads if anyone is interested in a trade let me know.

I have some good RBs and WRs and I'm looking for a good Dst and TE (not sure there are any of these this year!)

Aberdonian Stu
20/11/2008, 11:11 AM
The NFL.com league is one of the better formats for handling the post season problem as they don't play fantasy games in week 17. For the most part, teams are still competing in weeks 15 and 16. Obviously there are some players rested but it's not on the same level as week 17.

True enough but......
I've gone with Romo - because Dallas are up against the 49ers who are... well... s h 1 t e.....

Hope that doesn't come back to haunt me now.

Ten point difference, but looks like you'll get away with it unless Brees pulls me out of the fire. Meant to stick in the Bills defence this week just for the sake of it, but other than that if Dallas Clarke does anything you'll be fine.

Clark didn't do a whole pile - 18pts in it with Brees to play - i reckon there'll only be a point or two in it either way. Brees has had some excellent numbers this season - MVP type stuff - but the Packers defence is a tough prospect - id still expect him to Pass for 250 odd yards and maybe a touchdown or two so it could depend on turnovers.

To be fair i'm a Pats fan - but even the most optimistic Pats fans wouldn't have guessed that he would have thrown for 800 yards in two weeks against the Jets and the Dolphins.

I wonder what odds a Jets v Giants Superbowl is now?

Good morale boosting win for me yesterday over the Wagons, ended yet another slide that I'd been going through. Playoffs are beyond reach in this league.

As usual my other nfl.com team is faring much better, fourth best record overall. I'm a game outside the playoffs though because the 1st and 3rd best records are in my division. I've a game against the team currently holding the wildcard this week.
