28 points on the board now. Last year, Bray were 4th from bottom with 34 points, but they would've been relegated if Longford weren't deducted 6 points (they would've had 35)
So, 35 points would seem to be the benchmark. 3 more wins out of our remaining 14 games should be achievable. Even with our currently depleted squad, our team is still far, far better than the bottom 4.

Well we have consistently beaten those in and around the relegation dogfight , I think we are safe anyway but I do see us sliding down the table slightly due to the small squad

Regardless of how good your squad may be, I suspect safety may be lower than 35 points this year. More than half way through the season, four teams have fewer than 15 points.

I think Sligo are safe, I'd be a bit worried if I was a Bray fan though I can see them in or around the bottom 3 in the last few weeks. Sligo will be safe with 4/5 games to spare imo.

No, we would'nt have been. UCD finished on 31 points so they would've gone into the play-off with Harps and Waterford who finished on 30 would've been relegated.

Only way Sligo can do down is if 2 get teams in bottom 4 now get 14 points or more than Sligo do in last 14 games. well not a hope sligo, sham. rovers (they will get results against bigger more often the rest)are 110% safe and it looks even bray have done enough as another 10 points and they are safe

Sorry. I meant that if there had been 3 teams going down automatically last year, as there are this season, Bray would have been one of them.

We are safe this year but are automatically relegated next year regardless of where we finish if this new all-Ireland league goes ahead.

i know theres a sperate thread about this, but i dont think that AIPL will go ahead for another 4-5 years. we need 4-5 more wins to guarantee it. Dont think the teams below us (Galway, Harps etc.) will beat the top teams (Pats,Bohs etc.) too often, only worry is if we get injuries then were nicely ******ed.

Was talkin to a Harps guy at the game and he was saying that they needed the points more than we did. I had to laugh, told him we still had to pick up a nice few points before we are safe.

Sligo aren't going down, don't know what the run in is like but SR have a few wins in them even if the squad is depleted, SR have some decent players there, should be safe with 6 games to go I reckon...
just someone tell Boco that he has to look up before he pulls the trigger... he's got the pace and makes decent runs... just needs to stop firing straight at keepers...
