Who is the biggest hypocrite in the premiership, first we have Ferguson complaining about Real Madrid chasing Ronaldo, now we have Spurs complaining about Utd and Liverpool
http://www.rte.ie/aertel/224-01.html
Yet if my memory serves me right Robbie Keane tried to tap up Dunne during the Summer even though he still was under contract to City.
Is there any manager or club out there that actually stick to the rules? The only one I can think of would be Wegner who prefers to produce his own players.

The worst tapping up that goes on is at underage level when their due to sign their first contract. What age does Wenger get most of these supposedly own produced players again?

Ferguson can be particularly odious when it comes to applying very rigid standards to everyone but himself and his club.
His near victim psychosis about the Real Madrid/Ronaldo saga juxtaposed with his negotiation-via-tabloid carry on with Berbatov is as typical as it is galling.

They're all hypocritical, it's the nature of the beast. Tell me a manager who will admit a penalty for his side shouldn't have been given but then screams blue murder when his own team gives away a dubious one?
I can of course understand why but they all do it.
Ferguson is hilarious when he goes on the defensive about clubs tapping his players after the way he has carried on through the years.
He was sending Phillippe Mexes Christmas cards at one stage :D

Bah. The tabloids write most or all of those stories without any impetuous from Ferguson. Track the rumours in the papers over any given summer and see how few of them are right. Spurs have nothing here - some made up quotes in a tabloid.

I reckon Rafa has to be up there after his comments about Everton fans should show respect for other players after a game in which liverpool fans sang songs about Carsley downsyndrome kid and punched and spat at phil neville while taking throw ins.

100% correct. Fergie does a 10-15 minute press conference once a week that is screened live by SSN. Only on very rare occasions does he speak to print journalists direct. Christ he's reluctant to speak to MUTV never mind the scum, mirror and Daily Hate. The book by Daniel Taylor (guardian writer) about Fergie and his interaction with the media over two seasons shows how much contempt he has for the press in general. He doesn't trust them, I'd go as far as saying he hates their guts...... and he'd never ever give them a scoop direct by saying "I'm buying Berbatov".

Add Tevez to that list also Fergie sent him a Man. U shirt when he was still playing in Brazil???.
Wenger is just as bad he litteraly robs younger players from under the noses of their own club. I think Justin Hoyte was the only home produced player who actually played a few games?
All the managers are at it. But I think Ferguson is the worst by far...

I would re-read the statement by Spurs if you think this is the case, it says there has been systematic interference with Berbatov, it is quite clear from the statement that Spurs are relying on a LOT more than a quote in the Sun.
"Both clubs arrogantly chose to ignore this request and we now have evidence that both clubs have systematically been working to prise the players away from us, outside of PL rules of conduct."

I detest Fergie, always have. His actions over the summer are more examples of why I hate him.
However, practically all managers contradict. You can't single out one for blame.

I will believe it when I see it. (Which, it should be noted, is not the same as saying I don't believe there's been any illegal contact.)

As top class managers go though Wenger strikes me as a reasonably honourable one.
C'mon. Wenger can whinge up there with the best of them.

Wenger like everyone else can be hypocritical. I clearly remember him moaning quite a few times about rough house treatment on Henry etc while never batting an eyelid when his own side mixed it.
He didn't condemn his players treatment of RVN in that infamous game and I don't think he uttered a word against Gallas and co last season when they almost assualted Nani.

I thought it was Jol who said that?
Or are we talking about a totally different incident(s)?

Yep. "I did not see the incident" used to be a postmatch cliché of Wenger's.
are you sure they werent singing about phil neville being a downsyndrome?
Because that'd be alright?

Agreed. It's still the silly season. Ferguson himself said he can't wait for the season to start so the papers can write about football for a change and not imaginary nonsense.

is this the same tottenham hotspur who sold robbie keane yesterday to liverpool for 19 million and then accepted liverpools apology for chasing the player / tapping him up and are now going to drop their offical complaint against liverpool to the english football association
