What way does everyone reckon the Russia match will go?

I'm going for Ireland to win 1-0. Russia haven't won on their travels yet.

Switzerland 2-2 Russia
Georgia 1-0 Russia
Albania 3-1 Russia

What are your (impartial!) predictions??

1-1. We always make things hard for ourselves... The ideal results would be to beat Russia & then Russia to beat the swiss on Wednesday.... then we'd only need a draw in Basel to top the group.

But that's just too easy... we'll do it the hard way.

i tink 3-2 cos the russians have a new coach and he might get em to give us a good game. will be a cracker

i'm not predicting a cracker, i'd imagine with so much at stake for both teams if they were to lose that it'll be a tentative opening, and a pretty dour affair. we should just about shade it but i think a draw is a likely outcome.

" and a pretty dour affair. we should just about shade it but i think a draw is a likely outcome."

A draw is a bad outcome from Ireland's point of view I think.
It would put Ireland in a very poor position, although not quite
fatal.
Surely we can do better than Albania and Georgia who both won
(thank God).
I think 2:1 although I would settle for 5:0.

Starting selection:- 'Aerial Bardment'. :O)
(AKA Stalingrad - first half).

Given
Carr Cunningham Finnan Harte
Reid Holland Carlsey Duff
Morrison O'Shea

Subs: Conollly, McPhail, Kilbane. Colgan.

A bit unusual prehaps, I could have picked a dozen or more
different line ups. But I think this would give the Ruskies plenty
to think about.

Plenty of options there. (Swop Duff - O' Shea etc..):D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
