on here? there has been some excellent debates of late and usually find myself siding with the same guys on different issues. However i think the best person on here who seems to know the league inside out and has a balanced view is a Derry fan named DCFCSteve. I just want to say i think you are great and you offer an insighful analysis of the league with your genuine passion for the game on the island. Never let the passion Die !

Sligoman for me.. .ALWAYS an honest lad, and never biased towards the team he supports :)

I do not wish to be considered for this award out of fairness to the trailing field. The avalanche of nominations which are my unquestioned right would merely discourage promising young posters whom it is our duty to nurture. Nonetheless, I acknowledge with warmth and a certain quiet pride the affection and reverence I must disavow. Thank you all.

I think Cobh did a match poster where their club crest just about obscured the nipple on a very shapely breast.

Gets my vote!

I think my two days of posting on the EL forum of foot.ie entitles me to this title.

Looks like Steve has hacked into Rovers Maniac's account, or the Rovered one is living up to his name and lost all semblance of reality.

if foot.ie is to teach us anything then there is both idiots and intelligent people all clubs and because of our small support base at my club I represent both

There will never be another Super Gretna.:(

He was an intellectual powerhouse and a football oracle, but with a true sense of humility and realism that has never been repeated since in the hallowed halls of foot.ie.

How I miss him so......

One of the features I'd like to see implemented in forum software is a little gizmo that lets me rate posts as insightful, funny, interesting, balanced, boring, stupid, or trolling. This rating would be cumulatively stored for each poster, and little symbols beside his name on a post would indicate how I usually find his posts. Mr A and Bluebeard would be very funny (perhaps their posts could be highlighted), Dodge, chippie0001 and many others insightful (similar), consistently stupid people (I'm not naming names; ah screw it, hoops1 - but there are others, so many others...) would go on my ignore list.

Anyway, I'll go with chippy0001 as best poster, but I haven't really thought about it. There are a bunch of interesting people here, or I'd have stopped reading it.
