Can anyone tell me who might be the people to contact about getting big flags designed. Im talking 10m x 5m size or bigger. Don't have to be on poles..ideally flags like you see carried over peoples heads at big games - although these ones will rest on grass.

Was watching Finn Harps away to Pats and they brought down really big flags...looking to do the same. Any idea of cost also welcome.

Cheers

What Andy done for the Harps ones was, buy a few bed sheets both blue and white, he sowed them together in sections of 4 and attached velcro to each section, he is able to attach all 4 sections together and if theres the space it looks the part.
He gets most of his stuff from www.tifo.it I think.

Thanks for the advice! www.tifo.it (http://www.tifo.it) looks like a comprehensive webiste but really awkward to work out!

Were with UCD..trying to advertise that we DO have a number of fans and its a new young and growing support!

What im getting at is we have lots of young kids coming to games over the last year or so that we havent had before - were trying to keep them coming by improving the atmosphere a little..Hopefully they all want to play for UCD when they grow up:D

Used this crowd a couple of times, excellent service, really helpful in putting things together. You can either provide design or they'll help you out..

if your looking to do this id suggest painting the design on yourselve. get about 50 metres of material ordered in some paint and get an old projector off someone. its cheaper often looks better and if you get a few people to help its usually good craic. i involved in the flags at drogheda and thats how we do all of ours.

Make yer own, it is bizarrely enjoyable. I usually print out stencils of images and texts onto several A4 pages depending on the size required.

an old effort of mine from earlier in the year http://www.imagehosting.com/out.php/i1608596_DSC00386.JPG before it was all glued in place...

jesus thats way too hard and complicated just get an old projector off a school or office or something. print your design onto one of those plastic sheets and project onto flag. draw your outline then paint. or if you cant get plastic sheets print onto normal a4 sheet and cut out around your design to get outline.

I have my stencil making down to a fine art :) only takes me a few minutes to do them , the projector method also works very well.
