The FAI and FARE (Football against Racism in Europe) have agreed to organise a number of anti racism activities at the qualifier in Montenegro. This is also related to FIFA's "Show racism the red card campaign".
One suggestion is a fans match. The plan is to have local and Irish fans playing in mixed teams of varying ages. Beer bellies are not a problem. This will be played on matchday.
There is music organised, a barbecue and transport to the game.
It won't cost you anything other than your time.
No guarantees on tickets but I am going to request that applications from players in the game for match tickets be looked upon favourably.
I know previous requests for Cardiff and Belfast have met with virtually zero interest. Indeed I had to persuade a number of colleagues to play in the Northern Ireland game in Dublin. I'm not going to flog a dead horse on this one.
If you are interested in playing please PM me.

Yeah I would be interested in playing as would my friend. Hopefully its an early kick off as I will probably be drinking early. I take it this match will be played in the city centre of Pogorica.

Thanks lads.
I'll try and confirm details. An early kickoff (although not too early) would suit me too.

What wallet? If you find it you can have it.
Won't be able to make the game as I will be packing my pants ready for a trip to Bali with Mrs MM.;);)

Apologies to those of you who showed up at the original venue last Wednesday.
The game was moved to a venue across the city late Tuesday afternoon. I found out by chance Tuesday night.
The local organisers failed to have anybody at the original venue until an hour after the scheduled start to redirect people. The FAI's organiser couldn't be contacted by phone on Wednesday morning and he didn't make it to the new venue either. He may not have known although I got an e-mail from Dublin confirming the new venue.
6 Irish fans showed up incl one female supporter, 2 over 40's and 2 over 50's. We didn't play. There were 4 other teams incl a FARE team and a Montenegran fans team. We did stay for over 2 hours, watched some of the other games, posed for photos and I swopped my Irish shirt with their captain.

That was a real shame GS;Heard it was due to local cops being paranoid?
One suggestion I would make for the future, is that this should be a bit later than the planned KO time, as an early start, was never going to draw the punters.....
Was personally intending to show up but more than a little groggy at that hour, plus no-one knew where the venue was!

Shame about the mix-up, we were wandering around that other place, completely deserted, at 11am on match day looking for a game before eventually giving up. We were a bit p!ssed when we heard there had been a change but these things happen, and it seemed to be out of the FAI's control and no-one was contactable.
As GT said, there was a kickabout in the square. Which was unfortunately 5 drinking hours too late for most of us! :o
