Speculation. Speculation. Speculation. I can see the vultures circling already with schadenfrued dripping from their beaks. No news and all of sudden a headline in a newspaper and a big black hole has opened up in anticipation of a big meal.
It's quite simple as things stand. Bohs are spending quite a lot of money. As are Cork. Pats. Drogheda. To a lesser extent Galway, Sligo, Derry. Everyone probably spending more money than they can afford given income.
To this point as far as I can make out in relation to Bohs, considering the usual guff I see on this MB regarding Fenlons 'spending' is that Fenlon has signed two players this season. Balance to that, we've released players like Rice for instance. Fenlon can't sign any players unless he gets rid of others that are already there, so we are in no less a precarious position than any other club in the league or even than we were last season.
That is not to say that we are not already overspending as such, but the glee with which some people seem to be predicting the demise of our great club is bordering on perverse.
