cork city will field an under strength team against bolton cos of the amount of fixtures coming up again
thay have pats friday,a game against a leinster senior league team outfit on sunday and u.c.d. next friday

if the first team were to play wed.also that would mean 4 games in 7 days
fair play pat for not treating bolton the same way that shels/pats fell head over heels for leeds/villa

What are you talking about, both pats and Shels played understrength teams in both games. About 4 Pats players played their first senior games....

i would imagine, the point was that we didnt try to postpone leahue matches for friendly fixtures and in the process making a joke of the league.........

we'll the point stands

it does not appear to be city anyway. if dolan does not release any players(or fringe players) Bolton will hardly field a strong team either........will anyone be bothered turning up?

Yeah, thats why Bolton won't have a strong team  nothing to do with most of their squad on international duty

You're very confrontational today Dodge.....frustration of some kind is it?

all i'm saying is neither side will field a strong team.....prorities elswhere, therefore it is'nt an attractive fixture.

learn to read man and try to make decent points rather than trying to stir sh!t

In fairness my posts in this thread weren't confrontational.

I agree with you by the way, it's not an attractive fixture...

To be fair Bolton's "stars" dont actually play for their national sides anymore.

Jardel, Djorkaeff and Campo afaik no longer play internationals or dont get selected. Jay Jay Okocha (the poormans George O'Callaghan) should be free to play too, dont think Nigeria are playing that week.

Yeah city could do with a competitive game cos not gonna be as easy as Rovers & Drogs for the rest of the season.

Have it from a City Club member that City have nothing to do with htis game other than they were asked to provide "some" players.

This is a testimonial for Carl Davenport - organised by Davenport himself.

They ( Bolton ), will play a Cork selection on Wednesday night. Expect to see Mssrs Caulfield or Morley ........... maybe.

City may allow the likes of Deccie Daly, Mooney and some of the younger players currently on the fringe of the first team.

It would be foolish and reckless to risk any of the first team for this meaningless game - especially since we have had a couple of injuries of late.

Anyway, we don't wantto let Bolton see any of our stars and hve them poach them over aka Leicester.
