Go to the official Shels forum - see post from Dr Shels........!

They ( quote ).......... "now fear Cork City particularly since they (we) have signed Coughlan. They are starting to look strong".

It's getting interesting now. The players wre bound to feel this also.

Eslewhere there are several posts calling for Fenlon to get the chop.........don't you just love it?

Only half way through the season and they are tearing one another apart already.

Roll on Friday and Set Piece Athletic.

i don't particularly like the man, but that'd be a bit harsh, as well as we are doing, they are one point clear with two games in hand on top of the table. Plus they're still in europe.

The one thing that worries me when I look at the table is that Shams, Bohs and Shels all have 2+ games in hand over us.

I'd prefer us all level on games as it gives a clearer picture.

Hopefully these games are Dublin derbies and thery can all take points off each other.

They still have to play us twice, 6 points for us easily :D

Well next monday its shams and bohs.i'd love it to finish in a draw and well....both teams don't look so good in front of goal in the last few weeks.

some of those games are against each other,
Shams -v- Bohs
Shels -v- Shams
so they can't all get six points, personally, with the way the fixtures crowd at the end of the season i'd sooner have the points on the board than the games in hand.

Shels have 2 games in hand
vs Bohs & Shams

Shams have 2 games in hand
vs Bohs & Shels

Bohs have 3 games in hand
vs Shels & Shams & Derry

Derry have 1 game in hand
vs Bohs

I think that sums up the postponed matches.

so all draws and one Derry win would be excellent....only 3 points behind shels then...:)

Yeah I wouldn't worry about the games in hand thing. They are all big games and will be tight. It should be mentioned that Bohs game with Derry is in the Brandywell which is an altogether different proposition than if it was in Dalymount.

I'd much rather have the points in the bag. When they are settled I'd still ecpect Shels on top but it won't be by much

Games in hand are a good thing but they are not points in the table. Shels, Bohs and Rovers are not exactly playing champagne football at the minute - they will not pick up full points.

The league is only at the halfway mark so a lot to play for yet.

City seem top have a much more solid & settled team now that Dolan has had time to adjust the team to his own way.

All teams will have their good & bad spells so its important to just keep in the running near the top to give yourself a chance for the final 1/4. Probbaly is just when it looks like the top half breaking away teams near the bottom like Bohs & Rovers will win a couple of games & be all congested again.

Whichever team can rely on hoime wins will finish top.
