Kenny disappointed with result

Bohemians manager Stephen Kenny admitted that he was frustrated and disappointed after the weekend defeat to St Patrick’s Athletic, which leaves Bohs’ eight points adrift from leaders Shelbourne.

Despite dominating for the majority of the match against Pat’s, lady luck was not on Kenny’s side after the defending champions hit the underside of the crossbar twice and were denied on numerous other occasions by excellent saves from Pat’s goalkeeper Chris Adamson.

The 2-1 win for Eamon Collins’ side moves them to within two points of Shels, and the defeat has put added pressure on Boh’s to start picking up points in the league before the lose sight of the leading group.

"We are very disappointed. We dominated the game from start to finish. We probably had 90% of the possession on the night. We played very well but paid the price for not being ruthless enough and conceding goals," explained Kenny.

"A lot of teams are picking up points and we have to concentrate on winning games. We have to concentrate on winning the next match, UCD next Friday. We have to make sure we win. It is vital that we get three points here next week, especially since we have some tough away games coming up after that."
