Cork City 4 - 0 Drogheda United
O'Flynn (2)
Murray
O'Grady

Great result, goals flowing and for the first time in a while it looks like goals can come from different regions of the pitch.

We're a point off Shels now, clear in second with Pat's our nearest rivals (after a 2-1 defeat of Bohs tonight and waterford drawing at home). the match next Friday takes on even more importance all of a sudden as full points would make us Shels clearest challengers.

How much of a loss is Georgie going to be though?

The way the guy is playing at the moment he will be a huge loss.Still though we will be at home and with a big crowd and the goals flowing hopefully we can take the three points.

I see that St Pats manager Eamon Collins is banned from the dugout for the game at the X next week.

We beat The scum with Dolan banned redx.

Great game though, you need those easy won, high scoring matches every now and then along with the intense exciting ones.Would have been good to see O flynn getting another hat-trick though. That was his best game in a long long time, not just the goals but he was making runs and jumping alot to.the one thing that worries me is that he still cant seem to score those one on ones with the keeper. He has scored 14 goals now-only one behind last years 15,i'd say he'll finish with about 22.

Are you watching Brian Kerr.....

Good to see murray scoring, although i dont know why he ran away from the shed, great header, fantastic ball from the one and only.Lennox said in the programe that he thinks is eligible for the U-21.

Dolan finally made a sub that was cleary a good decision in O Grady, he is playing alot better since he has to fight for his place.

Does anyone know why Dolan was made sit down, away from the fourth official?

And what is our goal difference now?

Next week should be special.

With the results going our way of late and the "feel good factor" there in abundance we should see a really big crowd again for this one.

George will be a big loss but the whole team are playing with so much confidence now ( did you see Dan's little fake and chip over the Drogs forward in the second half - he make a complete clown out of him - pure class ).

I think we aslo showed we will not be bullied out of games anymore - Drogs were fairly physical tonight particularly in the second half.

Dolan was told to sit down because there was more than 1 of the coaching staff on the sideline........rules are rules ........no matter howdaftthey are.

I was thinking the same thing Joe.How can someone get worked up that much and be sent off during a friendly?.But then bad challenges happen in every game so that could have been the cause. You'd never know...

he ran away to dedicate the goal to a lad in a wheelchair by the old dressing room. it was a nice touch actually. the kid was well chuffed.

fair play to dan and john on that one. it was a nice touch. top blokes
