Bohemians have recorded the Highest score by an Irish Club in Europe
Beating Rhyl 4-2 away to make it 9-3 on agg

Rovers' 7-0 against Fram eclipses that.

gspain
28/06/2008, 6:28 PM
Rovers 3-0 and 4-0 v Fram in 1982.

Rovers also beat Spora 4-1 home and away in 1966 to match a 6 goal aggregate win.

Well I guess it's the highest score by an Irish Club then
I've edited the OP:o
And Dodge i wasn't coming on here to have a boast, A big win in Europe by any Irish Club is surely good news for the League and a 6 goal rout may just grab the attention of a few barstoolers

Suppose technically he said they got thebiggest aggregate score, not win, which allows for Murphy's howlers.

The first LoI team to win a UEFA sponsored game in Wales. Well Done. Good Luck in the future rounds.

like the way the score was reported on the 6 one news. 4-2 to rhyl. how can rte make such basic mistakes ALL the time.

Great achievement, especially since we're not supposed to score goals.
Other people have other records, and fair play to them. Assuming it's confirmed, and I'm no stato, we have this one until someone takes it away from us.

It's worse than that, it shows the result as Rhyl 4-2 Bohs (agg 9-3) thereby implying the Rhyl are through.

You want to be careful, he might report you for "personal abuse" for the smiley and using the word pathetic to describe him.
He's allowed to be on here giving abuse out to whoever he likes but once it gets turned on him he goes off in a huff, deleting post, crying to dahamsta etc.

They have the odd International from Latvia but nothing to special. Bohs have a real good chance of progressing here, I fancy Bohs to win there and in Dublin.

It's either Elfsborg of Sweden or Hibs of Scotland (not the Maltese Ice Cream Sellers) - who play each other the same time as the FK Riga - Bohs tie takes place

Hibs would be a great tie - and I'd fancy your chances of some sort of a result in at least one of the two legs.

Let's hope you get that far !

I think that Bohs have a realistic chance of winning the intertoto section, They are similar in ability to Hibs and better than Elfsborg. I would be confident.

Do you actually believe that? I'm not disputing and I hope to god it is the case, but I wouldn't be so sure.

I would reckon Bohs could take Hibs but it would have to be a really focused and everyone putting in maximum effort.

2008 UEFA Intertoto Cup third round
First leg: 19/20 July
Second leg: 26/27 July

I presume that it will be Home Game first, as Hibs would be the higher ranked team.

From watching both teams over the seasons, I believe they have a real chance of beating them. The Scottish league has lost much quality over the years even Rangers and Celtic to an extent.

Well actually when you think about it, maby they would be close enough in terms of quality.

One of the Bohs contingent who was looking to travel to Latvia next weekend for the away leg rang Dalymount this morning and asked when the match would kick off

They confirmed that it would be in Riga. On the Saturday.

This (http://www.bohemians.ie/index.php/fixtures/rigafixt1.htm) appeared on the Club website this afternoon - safe to say a lot of people who have already made arrangements are slightly annoyed...
