View Full Version : Poll power?

Any chance of giving a handful of us ol' timers the power of putting up polls? I only ask because we might have an idea of running a series of polls to determine what the best album in the last 20 years is, but would probably require 20+ polls and I'm not sure any of the current mods would want to undertake that, could be wrong mind

Maybe make jebus a mod for the music forum

Although have no problem with non mods having the right to post polls. Cobh fans excepted obviously

He seems a pretty regular and obviously interested poster there so that'd be a reasonable thing to do if mod-ification is generally the best option.

On the need for more polls overall, I think they encourage more people to voice an opinion on a given matter, meaning they're better for stimulating debate, and of course are immensely exciting in themselves. Though whether arguments will ensue about whether people are educated enough to vote I'm not sure.

If it's suitable for all concerned I'd be up for monitoring both the music forum, and also Bellavistaman's posts as well, he's been getting too big for his boots since the promotion in my opinion :)

Wait, wait, wait! Has anyone actually read the type of things jebus has said he will do if he gets power? Don't go down this slippery slope! :D

I'd have no problem with jebus as mod if he'd commit to knock the trolling on the head and stop giving us a reason to give him infractions...

I can't believe people are opposing Jebus for mod. He's been good for this forum, improved the post count, contributed to the humour. The scaremongering about a foot.ie army or forced sterilisation of Rovers fans are total fantasies, coming from loo-las.

I'm hardly likely to play my hand so soon am I Gavin? Did Gandhi outline his policy for wrestling control from the British in his early meetings? Did Stalin mention his real plans when ousting Trotsky in their leadership race? Did Braveheart give an inkling of the Irish joining him the uprising when chatting up that hot female British noble?

My mother always said I was foolish to believe that someone, somewhere, someday would get me, and now I finally have concrete prrof that I'm right! Thank you good sir. :)

So if you're the soothing voice in my right ear, who's the voice in my left ear that tells me to do bad things? I hear LtiD is on a career break....
