Last season we lost at home to Kilkenny then went to Oriel Park and played them off the park amd won 2-0.
This season we drew at home to bottom club Athlone so maybe we will just draw tonight. I know I'm clutching at straws. I wouldn't be putting much money on anything but a home win however I'm not a betting man.
see's it

Dundalk, for a side that feel they should be playing premier football are nothing short of pathetic. Gill behaved like a jackass, and I'd say his sacking or resignation is imminent. I'd love to have been a fly on the wall in that dressing room.
Limerick should have won it 4 or 5 nil. Both goals were opportunist-The 'fantastic' Ian Ryan at centre-half for Dundalk decided that it would be a great idea to try and pass the ball back to his keeper from the halfway line without looking at Gary Sheehan, and later he decided to carry the ball out of defence and beat Sheehan only to lose the ball...2-0.
Sheehan is an excellent find, but so too is this Paul Walsh, the Waterford Bohs boy.

Sheehan was with limerick at the start of the season last year aswell. great start for him to get, 2 goals in his first start of the season. one or two experienced signings in july and limerick should finish above kildare, monaghan, wexford, athlone and possibly longford aswell.

was it 2 goals for sheehan last night because it says on the limerick website it was walshe that got the first goal??

Gary Sheehan got both goals.
Great performance. We were much the better team in the opening 20 minutes but after that were pushed back as Dundalk took control. Still they never opened us up and we defended very well. The 2nd goal was a breakaway but both were finished very well. Not bad for a guy playing inter pub a couple of weeks ago.
2 wins on the bounce at Oriel Park. Unbelievable stuff. I cannot remember the last time we did that.

Well, you also think that Ryan passed the ball back from the halfway line!
Video footage doesn't lie. Paul Walshe got the first. Ryan passed to Sheehan, his shot was blocked by Bennion, his follow-up header then came back off the bar, and then Walshe volleyed it in.

Cant give an opinion myself seeing as we only caught the last half hour due to some dodgy directions from a certain someone, however, id like to complement the club house and shop and Iv made Dundalk my second favourite club due to various reasons.
Seriously.

Doesnt really mean anything, Ian Ryan was carrying a knock and shouldnt have been on the field. Limerick just took their chances.

Since when were Dundalk relying on 1 player? We've had most of our experienced players missing for most of the season. thats a pathetic excuse.

A friend of mine from Limerick that has been living in Dundalk recently took some awful abuse one night from a few Dundalk fans in a pub. This came after Dundalk beat Limerick about 7 weeks ago 2-1. He was told Limerick were a shambles and a disgrace to Eircom league football. Funny how things turn full circle in such a short space of time. "Harry the b@astard", as he is affectionately known by his friends (seriously) was the main offender. Who's laughing now Harry??
