Hello,

Myself and a mate are coming over on Friday for the game. Any suggestions on places to have a few pints before the game? Do you have a bar in the ground or do you recommend any pubs nearby?

Saw you a few weeks back at Bohs and thought you played well (spoke to a couple of your fans in the bar before the game). Hope you can turn things round.

Weather forecast isn't great, what's your pitch like??

All the best

Fibber Magees in Eyre Square is the place to head to pre match pints its were all galway united fans drink before the game and its easy to get to ground as it is less than 5 mins in taxi to ground

the pitch will be playable as it should be in good shape as no game has been played on it in 2 weeks

very good mr.a

back to the match - a win would be near miraculous all things considered - what has it been 3 home wins in the league in over a season and a half!

We moved from Foxes a few weeks back, Fibbers is only up the road same owners as Foxes but it has a pool table and an upstair s room we can use for meetings.

Any one at the game tonight. Im very surprized there aint a bit of a report on here yet. Seems just as the interest is lacking in the attendance in Terryland so is it on here!! :(

Thats now 4 homes games ive missed in 3 seasons having not missed one the previous 6,not good enough:).Anyway,i was listening to the radio commentary, mike.r went 20minutes without giving the score in the first half and my mum was tuned in for the last 15 mins and she didnt even know we were 1 down till he finally said the scoreline at the end, poor stuff.
Heard we pressed them at the end but couldnt get it.We are now 7 points from safety with 16 left, not impossible at all.

They had lots of possession, but mainly in their own half. We worked hard to close down space and cover runs, but you cuold tell there was a big difference between the sides.
They had a bit of quality up front, we had 3 chances in last min to equalise but didn't.
They play awful boring football, fair paly to them for winning first title last year but they have to be one of the worst footballing sides to win it in a long time, and thankfully they look out of the running for it this year.
That said, we are in trouble, Harps won last night so as eamo says, 7 points off safety now, with an away trip to Cork next in the league. Can't see where the points are going to come from

Cant see us getting anything from the cross the way cork are playing at the moment but afterwards we have games against derry, sligo and ucd at home with bray and harps away (I think?) so we have a chance of putting points on the board here with a lot of so called 6 pointers in there.

I read a report in a paper that there was chants of "you dont know what your doing" at the game last friday. Why were ye chanting it,what did kenna do or not do,was it subs/tactics etc???

 That was at Alan Kelly, not Kenna or the player!

Ya while the team werent at their best I felt the report was very unfair and that chant was directed at Alan Kelly who is beloved in Galway. I was just wondering is that the 1st home game since the infamous Playoff game in Drogheda that Eddy Foley has done the line an I wonder why.

Thats a very poor report indeed because it totally misled me and everyone else to think those chants were directed at Jeff Kenna in particular. We all know already though Alan Kelly is the worst ref ever and ive shouted dogs abuse at him more times then is probably acceptable:).And dont get me started on that playoff game:mad:.

Which paper was that report in? Very poor indeed to imply that chant was directed at kenna when it was clearly at Alan Kelly.

And where exactly on extratime was it cos it certainly wasn't in my report and i haven't seen any other articles about it on site.

What's the story with the obese linesman. I've seen him do a few games lately and he is terrible. Cant keep up with play never uses his flag and only runs to the clubhouse. Were the dominoes pizzas going into the clubhouse for him?

I spotted that too. He's a total joke.
