Thomas Stewart recently signed for Derry City from Linfield. The striker has already appeared for Linfield in this year's Setanta Cup competition - is he eligible for the Candystripes for the remainder of the competition?
I don't think so!
another lad signed for cliftonville and on ceefax last night he was saying that he was looking forward to playing in europe and the setanta. but i think clubs registered their squads at the start of the competition. maybe its changed with the new format?

I would say thats a definite no as he is cup tied
Would make sense if clubs name squad for group stages & then offered chance to resubmit for knock out stages... Then again Setanta Cup has some strange rules...

The IL sides are playing this competition across two domestic seasons so would expect that they'd be allowed to submit new names - cup-tied players is another matter though.
