3 month travel perhaps...

lads just wondering, nothing definite but i dont know how much longer i can handle the rat race in london and might need "a view from afar", if i were to head to south america for 3 months up along the coast to san fran or something how much money do you reckno i would need, and would that be long enough to see everything.

My ideal trip would be start off south chile/patagonia ( maybe take in easter island first ) work my way right up to alaska, over to russia, down onto china and back down and over towards thailand and maybe onto fiji and australia. How long do you think that would take and how much money?

I think 6 months, the area of Russia you're visiting on that trip (Sakhalin, Kamchatcka, Magadan, Vladivostok) is very senic, but the transport would be tough... I think you can fly from Magadan to Alaska, but you would want to check and also sort out all the visas etc.

If I were you I'd focus on a quarter of the circle (maybe Latin America, maybe north Asia) and just do that.
