I know a couple of you complained about an article in it, well there was a huge apology (directed at UCD) in the programme v Dublin City.

I presume Pats sent something to UCD too...

Wow...don't think any of us complained directly to the club anyway - maybe the committee complained themselves?

What did the apology say? Presume it couldn't say that all the stuff abut UCD having huge crowds was actually made up!

no, they suspended the fans column (by dr.nitedub) and replaced it with a big Apology ....administrative oversight....wont happen again....nitedub is suspended...him....and his children....and his childrens' children for 6 months!

Yeah didn't mean you complained to Pats, just that you complained here. As wws said it just apologised for any harm done to UCD and that the club wishes to keep its good relationship with UCD and wishes them all the best.

And wws, no-one said it was anything major...

I beg to differ Dodge. Your use of "huge" implies major in some way.

The apology was one full page. Most are one line. thats why it was huge.

The issue was neither huge nor major and no-one ever claimed it to be. Your "Storm in a tea cup" line was therefore not needed as everyone knew that all along...

I'm surprised at that. I wonder did anyone at UCD complain. I doubt it, they surely have better things to do. Given the Pat's programme's previous problems, they probably only read it at the game themselves!
