Apologies to don ramo, desaintsno.12 and AnnaghRed but there's only space for 64 people in the first round.

Happy with that, always good to get a home draw. In saying that I'm taking nothing for granted and will be giving dublinwanderer the respect he deserves. He'll be coming looking for a win and at the end of the day I'll have to be at my best to have my name in the hat for the next round.

i'm down by 2 points as we head into Sunday's games, we both the same team to win in the juior teams game(not sure who i cpiked don't know anything about them so always pick a random one when they pop up, so as long as none of us gets the score right in that it could come down to the Bray game, i was surprised to see you went against Bray with a junior team, so could be level as long as no-one gets the Kildare or Carrick score correct, i'd be very surprised if Bray don't win anyway. Wonder when the first goal was in case we have a draw?!

stann

You're closest on the first goal, it was 1 minute I think.
Went against Bray purely 'cos there's always one upset. Hope that one wasn't Athlone! :D

I think i'm through now, i got the score in the Bray game, so that put's me 3 up as we head into the last game and both of us have Kildare to win, best you can do there is draw level but i appear to win on the ''1st Goal scored'' part! :D

Seems like luck was my only hope. Appears that you were a very worthy winner with some very precise predictions. Well done and best of luck in remaining rounds. :D

The tie between myself sligoman looks to be a right cracker. Both got seven outcomes correct of the 15 ties players so far. He has Fanad and Kildare to draw, I am pinning my hopes on a win for Fanad - fingernails almost gone.
Best of luck Sligoman . . . . .

Tie of the round here, the battle of the extratime.ie reporters. Superfrank will look to nip Brewer's advantage in the bud before it's too late.

The conclusion promises to be epic, and it will be brought to you live and exclusive..:p

You have done quite well up to now grasshopper but.......

.....I know Wimbledon is starting soon, but there's no need to get all 'John McEnroe' on the Umpire's ass. I recommend you have a look again at the criteria for drawn games.

Is there any way he might to 2 or 3 points 'cos of the slur he labeled Schumi with, even return the points to him after I have qualified for the next round.

I am sure the final outcome may be the same, until they I will defend the integrity of the tournament.

Not like Galway to get their points tallying wrong. ;) :p

Still all on though.
Bottom line is, if you get the score spot on you're through on penalties. If I have the scoring system right (2 for the result, 1 for each score and 1 for the margin I think) then anything else should do me.

stann

Oh, thought the earliest goal prediction decided a level tie?
(That's what I meant by penalties BTW, just being facetious)

If we have to predict the replays to decide it then aren't they both on the same night as the Kildare-Fanad game?
Everyone who might concievably end up in a draw had better predict the replays just in case.

stann
18/06/2008, 12:53 PM
Ignore most of the above Schumi, finally found your post on the scoring. :o

Replays first, then perfect scores, and only then the earliest goal.

The heads-up to anyone who might end up tied still stands though. The Kildare-Fanad match and the Killester-Wexford and UCD-Monaghan replays are all on Tuesday June 24th (first one kicking off at 5:45) so get your pre-emptives in.

Schumi
18/06/2008, 2:39 PM
(That's what I meant by penalties BTW, just being facetious)I got that, yeah. That was actually my thinking behind having replays, correct predictions (extra time) and first goal time (penalties).

If we have to predict the replays to decide it then aren't they both on the same night as the Kildare-Fanad game?
Everyone who might concievably end up in a draw had better predict the replays just in case.Oops, I hadn't thought of that (damn Kildare players!).

What I'll do is allow people's original predictions to carry onto the replays unless they change them to save loads of people having to predict games on the off chance that they might need to. I'm not going to include any possible replay of the Kildare v Fanad game as this is dragging on a bit at this stage already.

I don't get the scoring, i never had you ahead the way i was doing it, also could never get to 30+ points for either of us!
