A friend of mine is a die-hard Notts County fan and says Jason Lee was brutal last season. If he can't do it in League 2, he can't do it in the Eircom Prem. Same goes for many on Ramsfan's list - too many has-beens who wouldn't offer any real commitment to the cause for Rams.

May be better to bring an Irish lad back home or go for an international journeyman. Some to consider:

* Mark Kennedy (Palace) - like we could afford him...
* Adam O'Hare (Chesterfield) - big centre half, may be needed if Guts injury is slow to heal.
* Luke Dimech (Macclesfield) - Maltese centre-half who played for Shams a few years back.
* Ciaran Toner (Grimsby) - big centre mid ball-winner, maybe just the ticket.
* Gareth Edds (MK Dons) - centre-mid, similar to Toner, an Aussie but don't they just love Ireland?
* Brendan McGill (Gretna) - decent right midfielder (Dub).
* Can't find any suitable strikers, although Julian Joachim is available!

Adi Moses, Alan Wright, Darren Williams, Bruce Dyer, Andy Campbell, Andy Morrell are all experienced players who have been there and done it and would make good additions especially Andy Morrell who has been able to find the net wherever he has been.

What about the white Ashley Young???:D

Calvin Zola is about 6 ft 4 and would make a good target man.

Dave Challinor is there. He's the fella with the really long throw, never had much ability with the feet though.:D

Giuliano Grazioli is a top quality striker in the lower leagues too.

I can't believe Mark Kennedy is being left go!!!

The list is possibly endless of players who could sign for Rams but unfortunately there is a common trend............WE CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY THEM!!!!

What about Deccie McGregor coming back or maybe even Warren Patmore(is he still playing?). They would be welcome re-additions!

They have only been transfer listed. It's very very rare that a player is released during the season. Wes Charles has been transfer listed too.

galway cant afford to pay there wages so effectively they are free agents

Deccie had a great season in England, although he is playing in a mickey mouse league (Sydenhams Wessex Div One). Scored 30-odd goals with Leverstock & Ford, not bad at any level. I think he's well settled over there in Salisbury though, so little chance of a return to Cobh.

Reckon we'll sign a striker (O'Flynn?) and a midfielder (O'Halloran?), but we'll probably have to release at least three to be able to afford them.

stephen o flynn would definitely get you goals if he can stay fit, and he has the fight and bit of nastiness we are missing at the moment
