In an oddly classy move for a team living in the cesspit that is the English Premiership Aston Villa today announced a link up with a local charity called Acorn for next season. Basically they have taken a page out of Barca's book and decided that they don't need that sponsership money, that money isn't the only thing worth living for, and that clubs that have reaped the benefits of their supporter's hard earned cash should actually give something back in some way. Kudos to Villa and Randy Learner I say, here's a link anyway, I wonder will more clubs follow suit

More like they can't find a sponsor like Drogheda Utd... ;)

No, more like an act of decency, a concept which admittedly is probably beyond the grasp of Dundalk fans

reckon it will cost Villa circa £3-4m for the year. Man U for example would be looking at a loss of income of around £12m, so it was reported on tv. Not that significant to Man U but some great coverage for a charity??
