Howdy all.

I've been scouring the internet, to no avail, for video footage of the Irish team singing "We Are the Boys in Green" (Euro 88 version). I have a foggy memory of them performing it on The Late Late Show shortly before departing for Germany, but YouTube (et al) have failed to produce the goods.

I'm keen to get hold of it (and any other such Ireland/Euro rarities) as quickly as I can because I wanted to use 'em on my Euro 2008 project "Super Euro Soccer Party" (http://www.fustar.info/category/euro2008/) (name is intentionally clunky!).

If anyone could help out I'd be be one grateful little monkey.

Cheers.

I don't know about any of this, but I have more songs if you want them (though judging by your site you may have already found my upload of them)

Well I did find some 1990 songs (including the 1990 version of "Boys in Green") - but 1988 material continues to prove elusive. That's what I'm really after.

If you have any '88 stuff I'd love to hear/see it. I'm pretty sure the Late Late appearance was on Reeling in the Years or some other nostalgia/TV history show - but, if it was, nobody's seen fit to upload it to YouTube.

Cant help you with the video, but I can 'help' by pointing out that John Bosman who scored the quality goal against England in one of the clips on your site is not the Bosman who was at the centre of the 'Bosman ruling'. That was a different Bosman - Jean-Marc Bosman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean-Marc_Bosman), a Belgian footballer.

Cheers boss, but that error has already been brought to our attention! See the "comments" section of the post in question for details.

The Belgian Bosman's career never (alas) quite hit the giddy heights scaled by that wonderful Dutch team.

I have just finished an illustrated childrens book of Houghtons goal.

If this would help your project send me an address I could post to.
