Samuel Eto'o was forced to defend himself on Friday

but the courage gained in standing up to the bully was rewarded when he scored the second goal in Cameroon's WC10 qualifier against Cape Verde Islands

One irony is that Samuel Eto'o has won the African Sports Writers Player of the Year at least once.

Maybe i missed something but why are you saying Eto'o had to defend himself when the article stated he attacked a journo??

(Nice to see a fellow Gilberto togged out in that game for CPV :D)

You did miss something. You misquoted the article. The RTE article states that he " has been accused of allegedly headbutting a journalist". Journalists who said they didn't want to be where they were, article continues to use journalists as their scource.

I get your point, but it in no way indictates he was attacked, only that he either attacked the journo or he did'nt!! :D
