Seems a fair bet to me :D
(could be kiss of death for USA but they beat Poland 2:0 away)
With Defoes finishing it looks a good bet, he just put a great chance over the bar.

Heard Shearer going on about England being one of the "great underachievers" with the players they have. Always been an English problem. Overestimate the quality of their own players. They beleive their own Sky propaganda with their players being over hyped week in, week out. They have some good players in Gerrard and Rooney (although I wonder is he going backwards) but no one you'd call world class.

Spot on. I was thinking that as soon as he said it. They should be satisfied that they get to the odd Q Final of a competition instead of thinking they have a divine right to win a world cup. Hansen just before the 1st WC match claimed that England had 8/9 WORLD CLASS players that would get into any team. I nearly fell off my chair laughing.

I had to switch last nights game off just after half time because it was sending me to sleep and I didn't realise how poor the US of A are. 21st in the world? :(

The only decent and honest comment at half time was from Lee Dixon, saying he wished he could watch The Apprentice instead!!:D
