i know its a bit off topic but im wondering on which would be the best bus route to get to O'Connell st from the bus stop beside the hockey pitch?

The 11B. I think it's the only one that leaves that bus stop. http://www.dublinbus.ie/your_journey....asp?route=11b

You might want to check the timetables for the 11 and the 11A aswell, 11B isn't very regular. The stop for those routes is just out the Clonskeagh gate by the traffic lights, about 5 mins walk away.

More importantly, Ashtons in Clonskeagh or The Goat in Goatstown are the best watering holes (though not the nearest)
