I don't mind not getting to the Italy or Bulgaria match.

(I presume if we are in contention to qualify, there would be some sort of big screen in Dublin city centre for the Italy home match. At least there better be)

But what are the chances of obtaining tickets at home for the rest of the qualifiers?

I only got to the Cyprus game in the euro qualifers because nobody was bothered going.

Tickets are distributed to block bookers (season ticket holders) first and there is a waiting list of several years.

Eircom League clubs get an allocation as do all the various leagues.

10% of the ground has to be kept for the visiting FA who are not obliged to return any unsold tickets untill about 2 weeks before the match.

these tickets are then put on sale by the fai on a first come first served basis as a rule.

Italy will take their full allocation as probably will Bulgaria given there is probably a lot living here and in the UK. Cyprus & Georgia, will only take a handful, no idea about montenegro.

I doubt if there'll be a big screen, never heard of one beore in Dublin for a home game.

*Nooooooooooooooo*

Well I'm thinking there will be a big screen if it was brought up....maby in the Phoenix Park or something?

I'll get onto the Goverment anyway, and get them to put a big screen up.

Well as I said the Italian and Bulgaria matches don't bother me, although God I would love to.

I guess I might have to find that waiting list and take a few people out.

cheers for the info man.

Yer at a guess I would say over the years I have turned up with out a ticket to 20 plus matches and as of yet I have never failed to get a ticket .

This includes Itlay 90 and USA 94 .:):):)

Mind you I did have a pay $190 for the Italy game in New Jersey , but was it worth it ??????

You'll get tickets on here or outside easily enough for all bar Italy and Bulgaria and probably those 2 as well. Make yourself known at your local EL club and it will get easier.

What could possibly have led you to think that?

you should find a ticket easy for all the home games bar Italy. That might all change when we move to LR but for this campaign you should be ok.

The only game in Croker where tickets were any way scarce was the wales game and even then it wanst that difficult to pick up one. Nothing like it used to be for big games in LR anyways. Doubt it will be much different for this game although im sure if we're doing well by the time the italian and bulgarian games come round there will be plenty of people all of a sudden looking for tickets.

They had one for the Scotland game against Italy, or like the Munster match.

Cheers lads.
