I see he's making a move to Aberdeen. 7 years after they first wanted him for £150,000 he's signing with them for £100,000.

Any ideas where he's from/played schoolboy football?

Is he going from Southend?

If so, then he played for Shels, Carlisle and Motherwell before going to Southend.

He's originally from Darndale on Dublin's northside moved to Eastwall when he was very young (around 1986) not sure where he played schoolboy football

No his Mammy alway's called him Richie as far as I can remember( We were childhood friends, and our mothers are still good friends)

Richie Foran played schoolboy football with St. Josephs East Wall (I know this cos me uncle used to run the team). I think he played with them from under 12 up until under 17 (could be wrong though).

He also played GAA for St. Josephs also of east wall know called St. Jospehs OCB (after a merger with O'Connells Boys). Actually while with Motherwell he got in trouble with Terry Butcher for playing GAA with Joeys while home one weekend a few years back

From East Wall. Played for Belvedere and some other team that plays in Fairview park before them.

Heard from a loyal aberdeen fan the deal fell through
