yeah mate - he is definitely from rush.

i think(and im open to correction here) , that he spent some of his youth growing up in new york.

i remember hearing that about one of the younger players in the senior squad years ago and i think it was mcphail

Yeah, me too. He was listed as being born in New York in Championship Manager as well
Also listed Paddy McCarthy's place of birth as Mexico City!

Think he was born here but lived as a child in The Bronx when he was younger.

I bet,
born England,
spent some time in the US as a baby,
came back home to Rush or Lusk when still a baby.

Lived in Rush and played with Rush U9 and U10, moved to Home Farm at U11 under Bill Dodd as manager (this was the same team as Richard Dunne). After U16 he moved to Leeds from Home Farm.

Best of luck to him and his Cardiff team in the final today. It would be nice to see another Irishman lift the famous trophy.

Poor display by McPhail yesterday, was unable to impose himself in what was mainly a midfield battle. He was up against Diarra who looks a very good player but never the less I am guessing he will be dissapointed with his input.

He had his moments but sadly not enough to dominate midfield. He wasn't helped by the poor display of Gavin Rae alongside him.
