think i might back roddys prediction and put a bit of money on us. would be confident enough of beating them. proved we could in the first half and early second half of the game last week

"When i was in sligo last year with the BIGGEST CLUB we met Paul cooke in the The pub after they bet us...Now i tell ye it was very late and we were well on (and so was he) but one thing that he said to us that stuck in our minds .....was his famous coment to us...I WISH WE COULD PLAY SHAMROCK EVERY WEEK COS THEN WE WOULD WIN THE LEAGUE.. Now i think someone should tell Scully this and let him use it in his team talk....WONDER WHAT TYPE OF REACTION HE WOULD GET......."

a post on shamrock's forum.

Tough draw, and away from home.
Plus shams will be out for revenge after their defeat here the other week and the fact we knocked the out of the cup last year.

"Sligo fans are traditionally travel shy but they are obsessed with us in our Cup so hopefully they will bring a crowd. They are nothing special and this is a great chance for revenge."

Could say the same about them, the long trip from Tallaght to Tolka.

Shels - Dundalk is on the Friday night. The Shamrock Rovers homepage (http://www.shamrockrovers.ie/index-home.php) says it will be on the Saturday.

You have to love the 'Our cup' stuff. How many of the saddos who use that line were in nappies - if born at all - the last time they won the cup? :p

sorry rory . i misread the last home program. the dates is fixed for week ending sunday 8th june. my main concern right now is will "boco" be available. i red in last sundays independant that he will definately be gone may 30th (benin v angola) and uganda june 6th . nigeria june 13th and nigeria again june 20th.. he is hardly going to fly back to sligo between these matches. normally a player joins a squod for the full term.so if he leaves before may 30th he will miss drogheda bohs (shams cup) and ucd. would i be right in my assesment?
