Wouldnt argue with that either. Shame Robbie Keane's best season so far in the premiership will be remembered by many as a very disappointing one for Spurs.

outside top 7-8, total ****e unfortunatly. Think Ireland should be ahead of reid, the fact he played hole season got more goals, prob equal on assists like.

23 David Connolly

I am getting sick and tired of hearing his name. He still gets linked with the Ireland and now he is rated in this. I really think he is terrible, far better player in the Eircom League

If David Connolly played in the Eircom League he would be a 30 goal a season man easily. The best striker in the Eircom league for the last few seasons, Jason Byrne, moved to Cardiff last year and failed to make it in the Championship, a division where David Connolly has proved himself plenty of times over the years.
Im a season ticket holder at Galway United for as far back as I can remember and I love the league but Im sick of hearing that this player and that are better than their counterparts in England.I by no means think Connolly is good enough to play for the national team but I dont think their is any player in the eircom league good enough either. Fact of the matter is that the Championship in England is of a higher standard and we have seen that in the last couple of seasons the like of George o Callaghan and Jason Byrne fail badly there.Colin Hawkins didnt set the world alight at Coventry and Jason Gavin while a decent defender struggled there too.Colin Healy too moved a bit from club to club after his injury before moving home to Cork but clubs over there werent exactly beating down his door to sign for them. These are some of the best players in our league for the last few years and I enjoy watching them but in my opinion none of them should be near the national team.
I know that there are exceptions like Doyle and Wes Houlihan who have moved over there and done well but these are the exceptions rather than the rule.

But didnt Daryll Murphy and Roy O'Donovan move over there from the Eircom League and both are ahead of Connolly.

Yes but how many goals have they got this season? Murphy to be fair does look a good player at times and oDonovans work rate is excellent, but Connolly is a proven goal scorer at Championship level, he isnt good enough for premiership but alot of people would argue that neither are the other 2 lads, but they do offer more physicality in the premiership that Connolly doesnt have.

John O'Shea. When was the last time he actually contributed to a game? (I don't include coming on for last 5 minutes when winning by 2 or more goals.)

His days must surely be numbered now as he is at best 3rd choice right back, 5/6th choice centre back & 3rd choice left back.

O'Shea actually played 7 full league games which is more than I expected. I think that with the return of some players from injury he has been pushed down the pecking order. In the CL with Neville & Brown unavailable for right back Ferguson played Hargreaves at right back who has very little experience in that role.

I don't rate him particularly highly but John O'Shea has far more ability than the majority of our squad. Get over it.

I dont know if its the same on here but lads that I know personally that think O Shea is a total waste of space are the same lads that said for ages that Rio Ferdinand was rubbish while claiming that Carragher was the best defender in the world, and the same lads were part of the crowd that were Booing Ronaldo when Portugal played in Landsdown few years ago for no other reason than he was a United player.
John O Shea isnt world class but personally I think hes better than Andy O Brien that alot of people( and myself included ) want back in the squad.Ferguson wouldnt hold onto him in the United squad if he was as bad as some people make out and while some people would say that he should move on to a club for regular first team football, hes not doing too bad for himself at United with his number of appearances and picking up trophies ever year, isnt that better than settling for mediocity in midtable???
