Limerick v Monaghan, and revenge for that horrible horrible trip up there in March is surely on everyones mind.

Ah yes cant wait till our locals beat this lot of dubs. some big questions will be asked and answered on the night. will there be another trainee ref in charge with novelty linespersons? will yet another trainee ref award a 12th peno involving Limerick in only our 10th league game of the season? A top class fanzine will be on sale and a continued brilliant prog should bring in a good crowd oh and the supporters club shop will attempt....hot dogs!:D

Limerick. 8/11.
Draw. 9/4
Dublin Mons. 10/3.
Rumours of a big money bet going on the Dublin Mons at the Paddy Powers in Roxboro. :)

Longford.....a different league....i believe we beat them and they didn't look like a great side to me, very mediocore. Dundalk Shels and Waterford are all good but are also all very beatable. Monaghan also beat Shels 1-0.
I'm afraid I have to say 0-2 to the Mons.
Can't see where we are going to get a goal from these days. Hopefully we won't play 4-5-1 again at home. We got beaten 3-0 playing this anyway (OK I know the goals were self inflicted) so we may as well go for it with 2 upfront.
We have not the physical presence to play a target man upfront on his own so let's keep the Mons defenders from going down the pitch too much and leave a couple of attackers upfront for a change.

1-0 to somebody with the only real chance of the game. 90 minutes that those in attendance will never get back. I'm trying to negotiate with work to get up for the second half but I am not expecting anything particularly pretty tonight.
As JohnD so succintly pointed out it's near impossible to see where our next goal is coming from (other than the penalty spot).

Jesus lads, did you fall asleep listening to Joy Division again last night? :D
3-2 to Limerick, 4 penos, 3 sent off, 2 ejected from the ground and 1 hot-dog.

But I thought he was sick? And we don't have any seats anyways! :D

2-2 loss to the Mons at home is depressing, at least there were werent many people there to witness it :o
It was a strange game, 2nd half in particular. There was so little happening on the field poeple were just having random converstaions, I nearly drifted off to sleep at one stage - seems some of our players did as well.
Ref was poor as well.
At least results elsewhere saved us from sliding down the table - for now.

The performance was woeful. From playing 4-5-1 the last couple of weeks we went to playing 4-3-3 or thats how it seemed don't know if Kerley told the players this. Why shove Derek on the left and then hit high balls to the giants that are Willie and Davey
As for Cosgrave and Manjor they may as well have stayed on the bench. Will Brendan Daly be playing in goal next?

Everyone from the 'chuckle brothers' to Leo the lion have commented about Kerleys 2 subs and how it changed the game (for the worse) poor stuff all round it has to be said.

We played with 9 men in the second half, and midfield was being overrun. John Grant on the bench should have been brought on. what is it with all these first time refs we're getting this year?
