At last the DC fans are starting to emerge (both of them :) ).
And just in time too to allow us to slag you when we beat you on Thursday. You shoudl attend the Limerick game - we are playing teh best football in the division at the moment - and of course are the top scoring team.
Looking forward to a big turnout from the Limerick fans, We need the money!!! You'll be surprised at the amount of DCFC fans these days. :p :p

Looking forward to it, hope to see a large Limerick contingent and get a glimpse of this vaunted "serious ball" (as I think SLK described it) that Limerick are playing. The atmosphere at Whitehall hasn't been great on any of my recent visits, to be honest, so a big travelling crowd might spark things into life.

The fact that it is on a Thursday doesn't help. We do the same so not trying to get a dig in.
Cannot understand Thursday night football myself. I suppose there is a point for DC as they don't want to clash with the other eL teams. So why not Saturday night or Sunday? Limerick and Derry have no excuse.
It also means you lose out on any revenue from any travelling fans. Not a big concern in the first division - but there were 40 - 50 Limerick fans in Bray I heard (a weekend kick-off) and there will be 20 tops in Whitehall.
Make sure you ask for Lims Fan. :) Although it would probably be best not to ask it of anyone who looks like their connected to the club. :)

Oh well, shame there won't be too many visiting fans in evidence. Mind you, Sligo had 30+ (by my count) at Whitehall for a midweek game a few weeks back.

That's because a load of them live in Dublin - there are no jobs west of the Shannon. :)
Very few made the journey, I'd wager. Most of the Limerick fans will be Dublin-based blues. Thursday night is still a sh itty night for matches.

As it happens there was about 20 of us there and sadly we played awfully so the 'serious ball' (I don't remember saying it to be honest but I'll claim it alright! :)) wasn't in evidence. Best of luck to The Vikings, they've come a long way off the field and in terms of support since I was there last year (well in Tolka Park but you know what I mean).
And bizarely myself and gael353 saw two kids in Dublin City jersies in The Crescent Shopping Cantre in Dooradoyle a few weeks back as well...
