I don't understand how we were hanging on at the end of this game - well, maybe I do - it's because we stopped playing at half-time. We should have been 4 or 5 goals up at half-time. And it wouldn't have flattered us either. Kilkenny are the worst team I have seen - not only in this seasons first division but in any eircom League game. They were truly shocking.

Brendan Rae at the back was 20 stine but was able to head everything away. When we took it down the flanks and got the ball in from there they were unable to defend it. Their full back was there for the long throws onto Rae's head. He couldn't defend. So we play them of the park and go 2 up and what happens next. We start doing what they are doing and hoof the ball down the pitch (bread and butter to Rae and the ball keeps coming back to us).

Sweeney had a quiet game by his standards. Also, I though Kerley was suspect whenever he was asked to do something. Colm Heffernan left the game at half-time. He did get treatment for something near the end of the first half in fairness. One bright note I suppose is that Stevo had his worst game against the worst team. At times he forgets this is a team game - a pass at times would have put a player clean through but he lost the ball instead.

It may be a case of playing against inferior opposition and being too complacent and too elaborate. Two shots on goal from outside the box is all I can remember, despite having a load of possession there.

Anyway, when's the draw?

Also, how do we vote for player of the month? If anyone votes for someone other that Steven O'Mahoney then they know nothing about football. :)

Also,

Draw is on Six-one news tomorrow (Tuesday). Any preferences? Part of me would love Shels in Tolka Park. Limerick always play well at Tolka - and the money would be a bonus too.

Great to see Gareth Cooney at the match on Saturday. He told me it was another couple of weeks before he'd be back. Fair play to him for making the trip down. His girlfriend isn't bad looking either. :)

Hi all:

Great Result on Sat night, maybe not the best perfromance but we are in the hat and thats all that matters. Hope Stevo's leg is ok for the big game v Dublin City on Thurs. There are a few cars going up so we will have some support there.

I thing the SC player of the month award will be presented at the Monaghan Game, Thurs week. Deise will be contacting all paid up Supporters' Club members re their votes or you can text/e-mail/Private mail him. Get yer votes in now to avoid dissapointemnt. Dont Forget anyone can still join the Club. Contact myself or Desie.
Subs: Adults €10, Unwaged/Student:€5, Family:€20.

As regards the Cup I want Skerries at home so we will have a good chance of getting into the Quarter finals. We can do well in this years cup. If Shels get drawn to Pats or Bohs we could progress on the basis that a lot of the big guns may knock each other out. This is what happended in England last Year..remember Watford..UEFA cup here we come....Am I being a tad Optimistic:p
