Jebus wept, they seriously just went through the motions there tonight, even Hoggie who normally is fairly diligent and gets on with it was not putting in the effort. Good to see guys like Darragh Ryan, Darren Murphy and Colin O'Brien but should have played the whole reserves team imo, at least guys that would give a toss about having a good game :(

Are you wumming?
Why is it a disgrace? Tuesday night, raining, champions league semi, reserve players, Limerick (no disrespect) and €15 in. It had nothing going for it.

I was surprised to see the full cork team out tonight against what is a severly weakened Limerick team with several key players out injured. 292 seems high for the attendance and i thought the cork supporters singing "whats it like to see a crowd" made me laugh. But Cork were streets ahead tonight and yea €15 was steep with no student rate either which i thought was harsh

Thats about average for Cobh when City aren't around isn't it?
€15 is ridiculous, but apparently the league won't allow you change/lower prices for league cup?

My personal opinon, it you support a team on a Friday and for other Leagues games with about 3500+, surely only the true fans show up for these games in the League Cup regardless of a Champions League Semi and weather. So if Cork end up playing in a Group Stage in the CL on a Tuesday with bad weather, I suppose just under 300 show up.

So the league cup is comparable in prestige with the CL group stages?
There are plenty of factors why people didnt go last night, the CL was one for a lot of poeple.
Cost was another-especially for families.
But the main one was that it was the League Cup.
Had it been a league game there wouldnt have been less than 1500, regardless of the CL.
A lot of City fans dont bother going to Munster Senior Cup games either, does that mean they're not real fans?
As I said in another thread...not everyone can be a 'superfan'.

I understand what you say 100%, but is it true to say, that one should allows support their team whatever the competition, how can a fan support you in the league and not in the cup, that is generally what I am saying.

Name me five top clubs whos attendances don't drop for games against lower league opposition in their domestic leagues third most important competition??
Wise up FFS, this is possibly the worst WUM I've ever seen.
And I'm from the Limerick forum.

Reserve Players???? From the team sheet it looks as if ye had a full team out.

We did. But the Echo ran a story saying we'd be playing reserves so everyone presumed we would be.....also it being the league cup I was shocked it was such a strong team

Sorry, there is a thread on another forum where this is mentioned. Local newspaper made out that it would be all reserve players, which their were a few but they choose to be anonymous throughout the game, bar Darren Murphy who was the only one that on last night performance would stand him in good stead to make the first team.

Don't see why. Its our bluffer of a managers best chance of getting to the Setanta next season. A trophy at the end of the season and fans will be delighted, even if the only other team taking it seriously are Derry again.

Yeah...just like everyone was delighted with last year even though we won the real cup.........
