What do you think of Danny Ventre this season I barely seen him last season but he seems to really put work in for Bit O' Red on the pitch and Paul Cook seems to have faith in him as he has played in nearly all games this season mailny with Conor O' Grady in Centre Midfield

ventre has been ok this season so far.. determined but no great passer... saw signs of him losing the cool last weekend. he will have to calm down in the tackle or he will be sent off again very soon. you cant fault his commitment though. sligo fans like honest players. danny is certainly honest

Ventre is not everyone's cup of tea and you always feel that a Red Card is never too far away with some of his challanges and yes his distribution can be wayward. However there is something about him I like. I think his style is well suited to League of Ireland, his work rate is unquestionable and he he will not be imtimidated by anyone. However I don't think himself and Conor are our best centre midfield partnership as I think they are too similar and not creative enough.

at training sessions I think he should be monitred by how he tackles and if he goes in to dangerous Cookie or whoevers there should give him advice or maybe give him an individual training session to get cleanere challanges in this season

Was sure Cookie told me he was a centre half. Anyway he isn’t a left full.

If we had a mid-fielder who could play in the centre and who's distribution was good, we would have a very balanced team.

I don't mean to criticise Danny or Conor, I can't fault their efforts, but their style is quite similar

Yes Faz can play Centre Midfield or up front which is a plus Ventre and O' Grady are good in central midfield too but altough they play well there they can't get a good ball up front as well as Faz might

your just like me :) I like to see players put in that good effort in a match espeically the lesser known senior players like Ventre hes not a household name for Sligo Rovers but if he does well he could be an important part of the team
